PHILOSOPHY

The Ilyushin Il-96 is a short version of long-range, wide-body aircraft and incorporates advanced technology concepts such as supercritical wings, winglets, a glass cockpit, and a fly-by-wire control system. It was first flown in 1988 and certified in 1992. The basic IL-96-300 is equipped with modern Russian avionics integrating six multi-function color LCD displays, inertial and satellite navigation systems, and an Traffic Collision Avoidance System (including mode "S"). It is certified for two crew operations.
The IL-96-300 aircraft is designed by Ilyushin Aviation Complex (city of Moscow, Russia) and manufactured by Voronezh Aircraft Manufacturing Company (city of Voronezh, Russia).

ECONOMICS

|
Less ground turnaround
time, common crew rating, common spare parts, fuel
efficient engines, and low maintenance costs, ensures
operating expenses are minimized. Enhanced cabin
configuration flexibility allows airlines versatility in
fleet deployment as per the varying requirement of the
routes flown by the operator, keeping in mind the
commercial and economical
aspect.
